Happy Meridian Has Heart
This year, we are celebrating Valentine's Day as a community. Let's celebrate the uplifting and connecting qualities we find in each other. After a long year, I've found I really appreciate my neighbors. They let me know when I leave my garage door open and move my trash cans off the street on trash day. These are small gestures that made me feel a little less alone during the yeartober that was 2020.
Who do you appreciate? We challenge you to show it; in whatever way makes sense; draw a heart on the sidewalk; leave a card in the mailbox for your mailman; donate a little extra to your favorite charity, buy the coffee for the person's behind you in the drive through line. The options are only limited by your imagination.
While it's not necessary to tell everyone, there is a sense of energy that comes when we all share things. So, take a photo and hashtag it: #MeridianHasHeart. We'll all get to see the random acts of kindness. AND, there will be one to give a gift card for some pizza for one lucky person.
